When we designed the Spiced Apple Cocktail Syrup, we knew it would be a hit with whiskey and rum, but we didn't expect it to pair so well with mezcal or tequila.
This recipe follows a fairly basic margarita formula, but we've opted for mezcal for a nice smokey flavor since we'll likely be enjoying this by a Fall fire. If that's not for you, feel free to sub in tequila.
Here's how to make it:
Add to a shaker:
- 2oz Mezcal
- 3/4 oz Lime Juice
- 1/2 oz Spiced Apple
- 1/2 oz Cointreau
Pour into a glass with ice, add optional garnishes apple slice and/or star anise (if you fancy like Jason here!)
